Donis is an Executive Producer, Showrunner, and Director with over 20 years of ground-breaking work across television and interactive media. His latest series, O.J. Simpson: Blood, Lies & Murder, broke new ground with exclusive photos, videos, private journals, and a cinematic approach that earned critical acclaim. Credited as Creator, Executive Producer, and Director, the series is now streaming on Peacock (U.S.) and AMC (International).

A dual U.S.-Canadian citizen, he has led high-profile productions across North and South America, the Middle East, and Asia - ranging from reality hits and hard-hitting documentaries to cutting-edge animation. His work has earned multiple accolades, including a Canadian Screen Award nomination (Best Direction) for the Discovery Channel series Saw Dogs, and two Leo Awards nominations (Best Program & Direction) for the A&E and Blue Ant Media series Cabin Truckers, which became Blue Ant Media’s third best-selling series at the time of release. His genre-spanning portfolio reflects both creative range and technological innovation, featuring projects like the animated TV series ReBoot - a genre-defining production that earned a place in the Smithsonian’s Innovation Collection for its pioneering visual storytelling. He went on to direct animated series including Sony’s Heavy Gear, the #1-rated FOX series Transformers: Beast Machines, and Action Man, helping to redefine animated television.

Donis’s diverse body of work highlights his wide-ranging storytelling abilities - Bodog Fight airing on Fight Network | ION Television where he was part of the Directing team, helping pioneer the competition series genre, to the second highest-selling sports title of its release year, EA Sports Madden NFL serving as Producer. Credited with both Showrunner and Director for Samsung’s unscripted virtual reality series Bisping: Full Count - a UFC first with Champion Michael Bisping - and Produced and Directed Biathlon and Cross-Country Ski events during NBC’s coverage of the Vancouver Winter Olympic Games. He sold his first docuseries, Livin’ Loud, to MTV Networks International, and in recent years has led a variety of projects: MotorTrend’s first digital custom car series Under Pressure: 9k, credited as Showrunner and Director; Executive Producer of Universal Pictures’ theatrical documentary Bisping: The Michael Bisping Story (Nominated, Leo Award, Best Feature Documentary); and Producer | Director of HGTV’s comedy-laced real estate series 40 Year Old Property Virgin.
